Want to get started making games? Then just do it! As I mentioned in another post, I’ve always wanted to make games. Ever since I started writing code all those years ago. So, why not start now? As I venture into game development, I take you with me and I’m producing tutorial videos on the YouTube channel.
My approach to these videos are just like the rest of my content, right to the point without any fluff. I don’t start out teaching you how to use the tools. You can easily learn the tools as you go. I start out by showing you how to make the end result as quickly as possible. That’s the best way to get something done and learn while you do it.
In the first video, I walk you through building out a Flappy Bird clone. It’s fairly simple, but you’re learning some key game development concepts like object pooling. In the next video, we’ll look at alternative methods for handling multiple objects.
